If you want to access an email account that you already from within Gmail, just follow these steps

If you want to want to archive your entire inbox, or are moving to another web host with a new mail server, you might want to export your inbox and re-import it so you’ll still have access to your old emails. This method will export your entire inbox, and then lets you re-import that inbox so you can access those old emails as an archive.

This is just a quick walk through of archiving email in Mac Mail. It’s a pretty simple procedure and it lets you free up some space in you inbox!
